What is Sports Specific Training ? (1) Understanding your individual Muscular & Energy systems requirements for your specific sport. (2) Which are:- Strength Speed Power Endurance Flexibility Balance Agility Nutrition and weight management (3) Body Management will design a program to suit your unique needs through out the year. A Seasonal program for rugby would be Off Season Muscular fitness training For strength and power, working on weaknesses to improve ability. Based on 8 weeks, 3 sessions a week Energy fitness training Designed to increase aerobic capacity. Low intensity and interval training. Based on 8 weeks, 2 sessions a week Practice sports specific skills Control Body fat % levels Nutritional and supplement program Pre Season Muscular fitness training Designed to increase strength and power intensity and endurance. Based on 8 weeks, 2 sessions a week Energy fitness focus on intensity including sprint and interval training to suit your position Based on 8 weeks, 3 sessions a week Practise sports specific skills Tecnique and strategy Maintain nutritional and supplement program to reach your targets. Season maintenance Muscular fitness Maintenance of power and fitness throughout your season 1 - 2 sessions Energy fitness Maintain energy fitness levels of cardio. Speed training to suit your position. 2 - 3 sessions Saturday game = 1 session Maintain nutritional and supplement program to reach your peak performance.
